Grosse Halle

Space

The Grosse Halle is a unique venue in Bern, covering approximately 1,500 m² and featuring an architecturally distinctive, column-free roof structure.

During a gentle renovation in winter 2018/19, the infrastructure was expanded. Cubes were added at the entrance on the right-hand side and in each of the corners. These spaces are used for storage. They also contain toilets, cloakrooms, and offices. In addition, there is a bar located directly at the entrance.

Apart from these built-in elements, the hall is deliberately designed to be minimalist and modular, allowing for a wide range of uses. Temporary or mobile structures within the space are possible.
